The Mifare card is a PVC card containing a semiconductor chip developed by NXP (formerly Philips). This card uses ISO 14443 Type A. It enables contactless communication (tapping) over short distances (usually approximately 10 cm).
Mifare cards are highly sought after in the market due to their high efficiency and multi-layered security. This card allows for mutual authentication. Mifare cards can also be used as encryption cards, for example (Mifare DeSfire & Mifare Encrypted).
Mifare cards can also be encrypted with other chip types, for example: VingCard, DLock, Goddum, BLock, Ventaza, and Vingcard Plus. Mifare cards are also easy to program using a smartphone using the NFC feature. Mifare cards also offer fast read speeds.
